Community Actions
ways to take action in your community to reduce and eliminate toxic chemicals
Toxic chemicals are all around us, but there are effective actions you can take to make your community safer. We can help you.
Save Puget Sound
Toxic chemicals such as PCBs, PBDEs, phthalates, and more are in Puget Sound.
This is a critical time to help cleanup and restore the Health of Puget Sound. Governor Gregoire is developing a plan to accomplish this by 2020.
Learn more about how you can get involved to make the Governor's initiative a reality, go to People For Puget Sound's web site.
Stop pesticide use in your local school or park.
Children are the most susceptible to exposure to toxic chemicals. The pesticide-free movement is growing and creating healthier spaces for kids.
The Washington Toxics Coalition can help with information and resources for making your school or park pesticide-free. Download a Pesticide Action Kit or contact them at 206-632-1545.
